Addressing the International Family Forum, President Erdoğan said: “It is a fundamental duty of us all to combat any sort of threats and attacks against the family, as well as to glorify and reinforce the family institution. To defend the family is to defend the human being. To protect the family is to sustain the society; to foster the family is to build the future.”

President Erdoğan said: “History has repeatedly shown that it is impossible for an understanding that builds modernisation on the concepts of becoming estranged from the family and loneliness to bring peace to either the individual or society. Societies in which the family collapses, disintegrates or wears down are doomed to languish, degenerate, come down, and eventually die out. It is a fundamental duty of us all to combat any sort of threats and attacks against the family, as well as to glorify and reinforce the family institution. To defend the family is to defend the human being. To protect the family is to sustain the society; to foster the family is to build the future.”
“A SELF-CENTERED MENTALITY IS REPLACING THE SOCIETY-CENTERED UNDERSTANDING”
President Erdoğan stated: “A massive transformation is taking place across the world prompted by technology. The globalization and modernization accelerated by this wave of change is also transforming the family institution, the bedrock of the society. With the digitalization of our lives in every area, a loss of meaning is concurrently occurring in many traditional institutions, first and foremost in the concept of family. While humanitarian values are weakening, a self-centered mentality is replacing the society-centered understanding. We know that the modern age is inflicting serious harms on many values of the humanity as well as on the family institution. Moral values, which have sustained us for centuries, are being undermined and trivialized under the pretext of individual freedoms and modernization. A lifestyle prioritizing personal comfort is, unfortunately, rapidly spreading from the youth to the very capillaries of society. Beyond a transformation that is occurring in its natural course, we observe that global imperialism is particularly attacking the family.”
“CULTURAL IMPERIALISM, WITH ALL ITS MEANS, RESOURCES AND INSTRUMENTS, IS TRYING TO HACK THE FAMILY INSTITUTION”
“At this stage, we need to say it openly that cultural imperialism, with all its means, resources and instruments, is trying to hack the family institution. What lies behind this is that a family that cherishes sharing, rejoicing and uniting poses a threat to the existential dynamics of cultural imperialism. In other words, a solidarity-based family structure is by no means a situation that global market actors prefer, approve of, or desire. This is the number one reason why the family institution is being discredited while a consumption-oriented culture is being promoted. Even if some insistently refuse to accept it, an individual torn from their family or estranged from their nation can by no means be unique or free. Wherever it may be in the world, as the family institution loses ground, people are becoming objects of consumption for popular culture. What is packaged as freedoms is actually a big system of captivity and slavery. Without doubt, the most striking example of this is gender-neutralization,” President Erdoğan said.
“WE ARE SHOCKED BY THE GRAVE PROPORTIONS THE LGBT PERVERSION HAS REACHED”
President Erdoğan went on: “Today, the humanity is being tested by the most fundamental realities of its own existence. Human nature is under an organized encirclement at a global scale. This ideological encirclement, which is presented as freedom but is actually a movement of rejection in its essence, threatens not only the family but also the child, the woman, and the human dignity. We are shocked by the grave proportions the LGBT perversion has reached in the countries it is encouraged. This perversion, legitimized under the cover of respect for choices, has now turned into a despotism which doesn’t tolerate any different voices or outlooks, into an all-out fascism.”

Warning that those who reject human nature with their gender neutralization projects are actually abusing children by conducting irreversible medical operations on children’s bodies, President Erdoğan added: “We cannot remain silent to this abuse. It is by no means coincidental that these dirty and despicable hands that abuse our little kids are trying to legitimize the crooked relationships that make any person ashamed of being human. They are enemies of humanity, enemies of women, enemies of children. To combat the LGBT perversion is to fight for freedoms, for dignity, for humanity’s future. I find the globally increasing awareness about this issue very valuable. We are particularly pleased by the legal regulations enacted in some countries that define family as a legitimate union between men and women. We are well aware of the attacks against leaders taking such steps. Yet, we believe that it is necessary to display an unwavering stance on such a vital issue that concerns the survival of the humanity, not matter what. I would like to take this opportunity to underline that we as Türkiye will never yield to any despotism that rejects the human nature and declares war on the family.”
