“Judiciary will hold to account those responsible for the loss of our 78 lives”

Addressing AK Party’s provincial congress in Eskişehir, President Erdoğan, on the hotel fire in Bolu, said: “Our judicial bodies will hold to account each and every one of those responsible for the loss of our 78 lives. Everyone should refrain from statements that would cast doubt or exert pressure on the judiciary or that would complicate its task.”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s 8th ordinary provincial congress in Eskişehir.
“WE ARE PLEASED TO SEE SMILES, EVEN IF SOMEWHAT BITTERSWEET, ON THE FACES IN GAZA”
Sending Türkiye’s messages of solidarity to Palestine, where a ceasefire came into force last week after 471 days of destruction and genocide, on the occasion of Lailat al Miraj, President Erdoğan said: “We are also pleased to see smiles, even if somewhat bittersweet, on the faces for the first time in Gaza, where over 50 thousand innocent people, mostly women and children, have been martyred. We have not left our Palestinian brothers and sisters alone for 15 months, and, likewise, we will mobilize all our means and resources ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.”
“WE ARE SENDING OUR GREETINGS AND PRAYERS TO OUR SYRIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS”
President Erdoğan stated: “Also, we are sending our greetings and prayers to our Syrian brothers and sisters, who acquired their freedom in early December after 13.5 years of tyranny that claimed a million lives. As the Turkish nation, we are now feeling the rightful joy of having displayed, despite all the pressures from various directions, a principled, dignified and conscientious stance in both issues, which indeed tested our humanity and fraternity. If both the Syrian people and our Gazan brothers and sisters are today praying and wishing Allah’s blessings for Türkiye and the Turkish nation, the reason is our human- and conscience-centered foreign policy.”
“OUR JUDICIARY IS WORKING METICULOUSLY TO SHED LIGHT ON ALL ASPECTS OF THE FIRE DISASTER”
Stressing that the investigation into the hotel fire in Bolu is being carried out meticulously in a manner that would leave no question mark behind, President Erdoğan said: “Our judicial bodies will hold to account each and every one of those responsible for the loss of our 78 lives. Everyone should refrain from statements that would cast doubt or exert pressure on the judiciary or that would complicate its task. May Allah have mercy and blessings for all our citizens who died in the disaster. I also would like to thank leaders of the friendly and brotherly countries who share our pain. May Allah protect our country and nation from such disasters.”
