“Our top priority is to ensure that all our citizens benefit from public services equally”

 

Speaking at the “Signing Ceremony of Cooperation Protocol on Ethics Training and Training of Ethics Trainers”, President Erdoğan said: “The public good is above all else. Our top priority is to ensure that all our citizens benefit from public services equally, equitably and adequately.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the “Signing Ceremony of Cooperation Protocol on Ethics Training and Training of Ethics Trainers” at the Presidential Complex.

“I would like to remind each and every one of my brothers and sisters holding a public office that all these offices are temporary. All these offices, all these powers have been entrusted to us by our nation. What matters is to earn the blessings of Allah and good wishes of the nation by serving the people sincerely. The public good is above all else. Our top priority is to ensure that all our citizens benefit from public services equally, equitably and adequately,” President Erdoğan said.

“We show no mercy for those who abuse their power, who fail to meet the demands and expectations of the people, who become a part of the problem rather than the solution, who undermine the state’s prestige and its dignified status, who squander the public commodities and resources, who infringe upon the public treasure,” President Erdoğan stressed.

“We have no tolerance for those who abuse their power and oppress the citizens they are duty-bound to serve. The state is defined by order, harmony, and precision. The state means a mechanism serving its citizens,” President Erdoğan added.

Noting that being compliant with laws does not always mean being compliant with legitimacy and ethics, President Erdoğan expressed determination not to allow the rights of even one single citizen to be violated, and voiced his expectation of public officials to act with utmost diligence in this regard.
