President Erdoğan attends fishing season beginning ceremony

 

Delivering a speech at an event marking the start of the 2024-2025 fishing season, President Erdoğan said: “We have always stood by our fishermen to date. We have provided 45 billion Turkish liras in direct cash to support the development of the sector.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks during an event in Istanbul marking the start of the 2024-2025 fishing season.

Noting that a total of 45 billion Turkish liras have been provided in direct cash to support the development of fishery in Türkiye, President Erdoğan added that a total of 35 billion Turkish liras’ worth of treasury-backed investment and operating loans have been offered to meet the sector’s financing needs.
