President Erdoğan chairs security meeting

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan chaired a security meeting at Atatürk Airport in Istanbul upon his return from Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, where he attended the 16th BRICS Summit.

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Chief of General Staff Gen. Metin Gürak, Director of National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın, Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Secretary of Defence Industries Haluk Görgün, Chief Foreign Policy and Security Advisor to the President Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and AK Party Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson Ömer Çelik were also present at the meeting.

The terrorist attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries’ facility in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara and issues concerning the fight against terror were addressed during the meeting.
