President Erdoğan spoke at the "4th International NGO Fair"
Speaking at the 4th International NGO Fair, President Erdoğan said: “Global governance mechanisms, international organizations and international media are turning a blind eye to the crimes against humanity committed in Palestine, Lebanon and in many other regions. A complete blackout in favor of Israel is being imposed in order to keep the atrocity out of the spotlight.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the 4th International NGO Fair at Istanbul Atatürk Airport.
“A COMPLETE BLACKOUT IN FAVOR OF ISRAEL IS BEING IMPOSED”
Underscoring that the humanity, with all its institutions, bodies and cells, is losing its efficiency, President Erdoğan said: “The world, the Islamic world in particular, is going through a tough test, a comprehensive surrounding, the fire circle of insidiously-prepared plans. The oppressed, the innocent, children, women, the elderly and civilians have been massacred mercilessly in Palestine, right beside us, for 14 months. Global governance mechanisms, international organizations and international media are ignoring the humanitarian crimes committed in Palestine, Lebanon and in many other regions. A complete blackout in favor of Israel is being imposed in order to keep the atrocity out of the spotlight. Some countries, which lecture others on democracy and human rights, are fueling, so to speak, the oppression with the support they provide to Israel instead of stopping this nefarious massacres and genocide. Zionist killers, who are encouraged by this, for their part, are adding new ones to their atrocity and barbarism each passing day, and constantly raising the bar for ruthlessness.”
“OVER 2 MILLION PALESTINIANS ARE STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE UNDER SEVERE CONDITIONS”
Stressing that nearly 50 thousand Palestinians have been martyred, over 700 thousand people have been injured and 1.9 million civilians have been displaced since Israel’s attacks started in Gaza, President Erdoğan noted: “The blood of those, who have been martyred or been injured in Palestine, has spread to not only their murderers, but also to those who have not stopped them. The insidious purpose behind the attacks, which have destructed 160 thousand buildings and have heavily damaged 436 thousand structures in Gaza, is better understood each passing day. Over 2 million Palestinians, which have been confined to a narrow zone, are both strugglling to survive under severe conditions, and maintaining with perseverance a difficult fight against hunger, thirst and lack of medication. May Allah help all our brothers and sisters resisting oppression and oppressors in Palestine, Lebanon and all across the world. I wish Allah’s mercy upon all the martyrs, especially my brother Ismail Haniyeh, and a speedy recovery to our injured brothers and sisters.”
President Erdoğan added that they will maintain their efforts to take Al-Quds under an international umbrella of security in line with its sanctity, and that the Islamic world should put aside their differences of opinion and act together by adopting a common stance.
“TÜRKİYE HAS BEEN HOSTING MILLIONS OF DESPERATE PEOPLE”
Drawing attention to the intensive wave of migration due to regional conflicts, wars, famine and terror, President Erdoğan noted that the insensitive attitude displayed by developed countries in the face of this humanitarian tragedy is a shame for the humanity, and went on to say: “Türkiye has been hosting millions of desperate people and been sharing its means with them for years. I would also like to remind the fact that Türkiye was also the first country to have lent a helping hand to today’s oppressors, who were struggling for their lives in the past. The hideous attitude displayed by those living in a comfortable and prosperous environment towards the desperate oppressed will unfortunately be an example to their fate when they will find themselves in the same situation in the future.”
“WE ARE ONE OF THE COUNTRIES THAT PROVIDE THE BIGGEST SUPPORT TO THE UNRWA”
Stating that Türkiye has been one of the countries that have helped the most the people in the region with the 86 thousand of aid supply it has sent to Gaza and 1.3 thousand to Lebanon, President Erdoğan pointed to the demonstrations carried out against the Zionist administration’s crimes against humanity in Gaza, and continued as follows: “We have decided to intervene in the case opened against Israel at the International Court of Justice. We have mobilized international decision-making and implementing mechanisms, the United Nations Security Council in particular. We are one of the countries that provide the biggest support to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. We are also exerting intensive efforts in order for a common stance to be adopted in the Islamic world and in order for Muslims to act as one in the Palestinian cause. We have mobilized all our means in order for the State of Palestine to be recognized in the international arena. We have never deviated from our stance despite numerous campaigns against myself, or despite all the pressure put by the Zionist lobby and supporters of Israel. We maintain our works to immediately ensure the implementation of coercive measures to stop Israel’s genocide in Palestine.”
“WE SUPPORT THE ICC ARREST WARRANT AGAINST ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU”
President Erdoğan said: “I would like to note that we support the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court against Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Minister of Defense Gallant. We consider the implementation of this brave ruling by all the countries party to the convention to be important in terms of restoring the humanity’s confidence in the international system. It is especially a must for the Western countries, which have for years lectured the world on law, justice and human rights, to keep their promises in this sense. Türkiye has dully fulfilled its humanitarian, conscientious and brotherly duties since the very first day of the Gaza massacre and of the Israeli attacks on Lebanon.”
Further stressing that they will uninterruptedly work for a free and independent Palestine, President Erdoğan voiced his hope that the Gaza Istanbul Declaration jointly issued by the NGOs participating in the Fair will make the voice of the Palestinians to be heard by the whole world.
