Addressing a ceremony for the 156th Foundation Anniversary of the Council of State, President Erdoğan said: “A strong, independent as well as a well- and fast-functioning judiciary would be the most valuable legacy we could leave our children. In this sense, it is the collective responsibility of us all as the 85 million to compensate for any shortcoming, to resolve any problem, or to address any malfunction, should there be any.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended a ceremony held for the 156th Foundation Anniversary of the Council of State in Ankara.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Erdoğan underscored that all the citizens should help and facilitate judiciary, and contribute to its complete and fast functioning, and said: “I hereby would like to make this sincere call to my nation: A strong, independent as well as a well- and fast-functioning judiciary would be the most valuable legacy we could leave our children. In this sense, it is the collective responsibility of us all as the 85 million to compensate for any shortcoming, to resolve any problem, or to address any malfunction, should there be any.  Dragging the judiciary into political arguments is as wrong as the judiciary interfering in the legislature and the executive.”
