President Erdoğan spoke at the International Kindness Awards Ceremony
Addressing the International Benevolence Awards Ceremony, President Erdoğan said: “We are making every effort to ensure that perpetrators of the crimes against humanity committed in Gaza and Palestine are brought to justice. We have decided to intervene in the genocide case filed by our South African friends against Israel at the International Court of Justice.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks during the International Benevolence Awards Ceremony in Ankara.
“TÜRKİYE STANDS WITH THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE”
Referring to Israel’s ongoing atrocities in Palestine, President Erdoğan said: “We are making every effort to ensure that perpetrators of the crimes against humanity committed in Gaza and Palestine are brought to justice. We have decided to intervene in the genocide case filed by our South African friends against Israel at the International Court of Justice. We are transferring to our interlocutors all the documents and data at our disposal regarding Israel’s perpetration of genocide. Türkiye stands with the Palestinian people and Palestinian resistance fighters who are bravely defending their homeland.”
Stressing that Türkiye has thus far dispatched over 54 thousand tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, President Erdoğan stated: “The treatment of the sick and wounded transferred to our country continues. We halted all export and import transactions with Israel last month. We gave up a trade volume of nearly 9.5 billion dollars. We have intensified our diplomatic contacts with the friendly and brotherly countries to force Israel into a ceasefire. An indispensable agenda item of our talks with foreign leaders is the recognition of the Palestinian state and the termination of atrocities in Gaza.”
Highlighting Türkiye’s support for all the international initiatives in this direction, President Erdoğan added: “Our Palestinian brothers and sisters have made the humanity proud with the struggle and steadfast stance they display despite all the deprivations. The Israeli administration, notwithstanding the genocide it has been committing for 229 days, couldn’t break the steely will of the Gazan people, nor could it dissolve their determination to fight. Palestinians have been wounded, murdered, exiled, displaced, and tested with hunger and thirst. They have put their beloved children to rest. They have been subjected to every kind of torture. They have experienced firsthand all the weaknesses of the global system. Yet, they have never bowed down to oppression and the oppressor. They continue to uphold the dignity of humanity.”
