President Erdoğan spoke at the TOBB General Assembly
Addressing the TOBB General Assembly, President Erdoğan said: “We are taking critical steps that would strengthen our Medium Term Programme. By maintaining our fiscal discipline, we will increase the efficiency of our monetary policy and provide strong support for the fight against inflation.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the General Assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in Ankara.
President Erdoğan said: “Our country’s risk premium is constantly decreasing. Thanks to this decrease, our business world’s access conditions to external financing improve. Our reserves, which were 97.1 billion dollars in May of last year, have increased to some 127 billion dollars.”
“We are taking critical steps that would strengthen our Medium Term Programme. By maintaining our fiscal discipline, we will increase the efficiency of our monetary policy and provide strong support for the fight against inflation,” President Erdoğan noted.
Underscoring that Türkiye has to grow by producing and use its resources in the most productive manner by practicing economy, President Erdoğan added: “Except those we have recently discovered, we do not have as much underground richness as the countries in our near environ. We cannot pin our hopes on anything else other than our own efforts. We have to work more and more, produce more and export more in order to increase our income.”
