"Through joint will, we will build a terror-free Türkiye and a terror-free region for our children"

 

Speaking at the closing event of the Century of Türkiye Gatherings, President Erdoğan said: "Our goal is to ensure across our entire region a climate, where generations are not lost, mothers do not cry, peace, brotherhood, safety, calm and prosperity reign. Through joint will, we will first build a terror-free Türkiye, and then a terror-free region, as our everlasting achievement, for our country's children."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the closing event of the Century of Türkiye Gatherings in İstanbul.

Pointing to the turbulent period in the world when the system, built by the victors of the Second World War, is shaken to the core, President Erdoğan said: “Hot conflicts and wars are directly affecting many regions of the world, especially our surroundings. Competition in trade, technology, and energy has brought military and political power struggles to a new and challenging phase. During this period, when waves of instability spread like ripples, thankfully, we managed to keep Türkiye away from all these dangers with the steps we took both within and beyond our borders.”

“TÜRKİYE HAS NOW BECOME A GLOBAL POWER”

President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye has now become a global power through its foreign policy, democracy, defense industry, economy, and the decisive steps it has taken both domestically and internationally.

“Today, when we talk about peace, tranquility, and stability, Türkiye comes to mind first. When we talk about compassion and mercy, justice, this noble nation springs to mind first,” President Erdoğan said, and further emphasized that everyone today, friend or foe, accepts the reality of a powerful Türkiye both on the field and at the table.

“From Syria to Gaza, from the Gulf to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, there's no equation that can be solved without Türkiye. There is now a Türkiye that is respected both in the region and around the world, exporting peace and stability to its environs. We are at a historic threshold in bringing our vision of the ‘Century of Türkiye’, where peace, brotherhood, development, and justice prevail, from potential to reality,” President Erdoğan said.

Underscoring that the foremost crossing that must be navigated on the path to the “Century of Türkiye” is ridding the country of the half-century-long scourge of terrorism, President Erdoğan said: “Our goal is clear and intention is evident; which is to ensure across our entire region a climate, where generations are not lost, mothers do not cry, peace, brotherhood, safety, calm and prosperity reign. Through joint will, we will first build a terror-free Türkiye, and then a terror-free region, as our everlasting achievement, for our country's children.”
