“Türkiye acts as the pioneer of peace diplomacy in today’s world”
Speaking at Istanbul GENÇFEST, President Erdoğan said: “Today, Türkiye is the standard-bearer of humanitarian diplomacy. Türkiye acts as the pioneer of peace diplomacy in today’s world.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at Istanbul GENÇFEST.
“TÜRKİYE IS THE STANDARD-BEARER OF HUMANITARIAN DIPLOMACY”
Drawing attention to Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to end conflicts and establish peace in Palestine, Gaza, Pakistan, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Ukraine and elsewhere, President Erdoğan said: “We have been endeavoring in each one of them, both at one and separately, for peace, stability and ceasefire. We have working round the clock to stop the bloodshed, deaths and oppressions. Today, Türkiye is the standard-bearer of humanitarian diplomacy. Türkiye acts as the pioneer of peace diplomacy in today’s world. It is Türkiye who makes the most serious criticisms of the global system and at the same puts forward alternative solutions. There is a Türkiye whose star is shining globally. There is a Türkiye that is strong both at the table and in the field. There is a Türkiye that doesn’t watch the events from afar but rather steers them.”

Describing a terror-free Türkiye as one of the most strategic targets ever set for Türkiye’s future, President Erdoğan said: “We have been working hard to build a Türkiye and a region where there is no violence, no terrorism, or no terror threat. We have put up uphill struggles for thousands of years to live freely on these lands, our homeland. Our youngsters fell to the ground in the spring of their lives. Terrorist attacks have claimed tens of thousands of lives, including women, men, youths, the elderly, and even children. Our heroic security forces, our village guards, fighting at the forefront most of the time, have died a martyr’s death or have been wounded for this country, for our peace. May Allah bless them all.”
President Erdoğan went on: “We have also suffered a lot economically. We have had to allocate a source of nearly two trillion dollars to this issue. We have faced numerous problems in politics and democracy as well as in our unity and solidarity. We have had to grapple with this issue besides other troubles in international relations. Our brotherhood has been harmed because of terrorism. Our development journey proceeded very slowly because of terrorism. Now, we are taking our steps very determinedly and yet very carefully to free our country and our nation from this scourge once and for all. We will not stop until we reach our target. We will definitely achieve the goal of a terror-free Türkiye.”
