“Türkiye-Pakistan cooperation significantly contributes to peace and stability in our regions”

Holding a joint press conference with Prime Minister Sharif of Pakistan, President Erdoğan said: “The cooperation between Türkiye and Pakistan, without doubt, significantly contributes to peace and stability in our regions. We are delighted to see that we act in absolute harmony with Pakistan on almost every issue.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan held a joint press conference following their bilateral meeting at the Presidential Complex.
Stating that they have exchanged views on regional and global matters as well as the Türkiye-Pakistan bilateral relations during today’s talks, President Erdoğan said: “As you know, Türkiye and Pakistan are among the leading countries that display the strongest will in the fight against terror. And I, on this occasion, wish Allah’s mercy upon our brothers and sisters who have died a martyr’s death in the terrorist attacks carried out in Pakistan, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We will always support Pakistan in its fight against terror in all its forms.”
“WE WANT TO FURTHER IMPROVE OUR RELATIONS WITH PAKISTAN”
Reminding the 25 documents they signed during his visit to Pakistan in February, President Erdoğan noted: “We have discussed with my treasured friend the promotion of mutual investments and the allocation of a free economic zone to our firms in Pakistan. We want to further improve our relations with Pakistan in the areas of military and defense industry through joint projects. We have especially pointed to new cooperation projects in the areas of energy and critical mines raised during the Minister of Energy’s visit to Pakistan. We have also addressed the issue of the need for lecturers who will teach Turkish at Pakistani universities.
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT STATE OF PALESTINE”
“The cooperation between Türkiye and Pakistan, without doubt, significantly contributes to peace and stability in our regions,” President Erdoğan stressed, and added: “We are delighted to see that we act in absolute harmony with Pakistan on almost every issue. On this occasion, I would like to reiterate that we always appreciate Pakistan’s determined stance on the Palestinian issue. Pakistan is one of the countries that have strongly responded to the genocide in Gaza. Türkiye and Pakistan have thus far endeavored to provide our Palestinian brothers and sisters’ rightful cause with the necessary support at the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and on other platforms. We are determined to maintain our such efforts in the upcoming period as well. We will continue to work on the path to the establishment of an independent, sovereign and territorially-integrated state of Palestine within the 1967 borders, with East al-Quds as its capital.”
Also touching upon the car crash that occurred today in Van-Hakkari road, President Erdoğan said: “I wish Allah the Almighty’s mercy upon our citizens who have lost their lives in the tragic accident, and a speedy recovery to the injured. We have quickly taken our injured citizens to healthcare institutions. They are still under treatment. I once again wish a speedy recovery to our accident victims and pray my Lord to provide the families who have lost their relatives with patience.”
