“We have had important achievements in our strategy of eliminating terror at its source”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s 8th ordinary provincial congress in Trabzon.
“THROUGH UNITY AND SOLIDARITY, WE WILL DEFINITELY ACHIEVE OUR GOAL OF A TERROR-FREE TÜRKİYE”
President Erdoğan said: “Through unity and solidarity, we will definitely achieve our goal of a terror-free Türkiye where conflicts, violence and instability have totally become history. To this end, we have been pursuing a very comprehensive and multidimensional policy every step of which has been meticulously planned. We have had important achievements in our strategy of eliminating terror at its source, which we have been implementing with determination for some time. With the operations we have carried out into Syria’s north, we have pushed the PKK’s extension in this country away from our border line.”
President Erdoğan stated: “We have literally defeated the DAESH terrorist organization, which is sought to be re-activated in recent days as an apparatus of various scenarios towards the region. With our Operation Claw-Lock in the north of Iraq, we are constantly cornering the separatist terrorist organization there, as well, and rendering them unable to move. Our targeted operations and airstrikes against terrorists continue uninterruptedly. Wherever there is a menace, we immediately crack down on it.”
“WITH THE POPULAR REVOLUTION IN SYRIA, THE SEPARATIST ORGANIZATION’S HOPES HIT A WALL THERE”
“In 2024 alone, we neutralized 40 so-called high-ranking terrorists,” President Erdoğan said. “We are also in a very good position in the fight against terror inside the country. Working in coordination, our security, gendarmerie, and intelligence units do not allow the terrorist organization’s urban extension to gain any ground at home. With the popular revolution in Syria on December 8, the separatist organization’s hopes hit a wall there as well. The new administration in Syria displays a very determined stance in protecting the country’s territorial integrity and unitary structure. The separatist terrorist organization has almost no supporters or guardians left now other than the Zionists, who have murdered our 50 thousand brothers and sisters in Gaza. At the stage we have reached, the end is near for the terrorist organization. They have no option other than to surrender their weapons, renounce terror, and dissolve the organization. The only other option is to confront the velvet-wrapped iron fist of the Republic of Türkiye, which is living its most powerful period in the last century. Those acting with the mind of Türkiye’s enemies are doomed to eventually face the geography’s unchanging facts.”
“THE ERA OF WEAPONS, VIOLENCE, AND TERROR IS OVER”
President Erdoğan continued his remarks as follows: “All must understand that the era of weapons, violence, and terror, as well as of playing cantonization by relying on imperialists is over. We won’t allow those working to darken our region’s future through terror to be successful. We will not allow the erection of new walls between our brothers and sisters with whom we have been sharing the same geography and living side by side for a thousand years. Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Persians, we are the ancient owners of this geography. We have been side by side and together for centuries, having a shared past. Just like our past, we will inshallah have a shared future, as well. We will not fall for the games of imperialists, who turn brothers into enemies and exploit their resources. We will not be deceived by those seeking to create division on these lands. Acting with wisdom, foresight and strategic mind, we will tear down the walls of animosity tried to be erected between us.”
