“We have made great progress in every dimension of healthcare services”
Speaking at the opening ceremony of Istanbul Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital, President Erdoğan said: “We have indeed made great progress compared to 22 years ago in every dimension of healthcare services. And we have achieved this despite the chronic opposition mentality that sees healthcare investments like city hospitals as a waste most of the time.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the opening ceremony of Istanbul Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital.
Recalling the healthcare investments made in Istanbul in the past 22 years, President Erdoğan said: “Today, there are 1,147 family health centers across Istanbul, and the number of our family doctors working in these centers has reached 4,264. The number of public specialist doctor across Istanbul, on the other hand, has increased from 4,141 to 9,506 in the past 22 years. Likewise, the number of public nurses has increased from 7,104 to 25,570. We have indeed made great progress compared to 22 years ago in every dimension of healthcare services. And we have achieved this despite the chronic opposition mentality that sees healthcare investments like city hospitals as a waste most of the time.”
“WE HAVE DISCOVERED 75 BILLION CUBIC METERS OF NATURAL GAS RESERVES IN GÖKTEPE-3 WELL”
Also touching upon the achievements made in energy, President Erdoğan drew attention to the significant investments made in every area, from nuclear energy to hydroelectric, wind energy to geothermal, solar energy to oil and natural gas, and added: “We have opened up the doors of a new era in energy thanks to our discoveries in the Black Sea and Gabar. Our discovery in Sakarya Natural Gas Field has indeed been a turning point for our nation.”
Underscoring that the works, which had started by the seventh-generation drilling vessel Abdülhamid Han in the Göktepe-3 well on March 27, were completed as of yesterday, President Erdoğan stated that they have gotten good news from the well, and noted: “Thanks be to Allah, as a result of the works, which were carried out meticulously, we have discovered 75 billion cubic meters of natural gas reserves in the field. With this amount, we will be meeting the needs of our houses all by ourselves for nearly 3.5 years. The economic value of our discovery is 30 billion dollars.”
“We will continue on our path without stopping, resting, regardless of critiques or obstacles, until we reach our goal of a fully independent Türkiye in energy as well. Thanks be to Allah, every investment made, every facility built and every discovery made brings us one step closer to the Century of Türkiye,” President Erdoğan said.
