“We have shattered the terror belt that was planned to be constructed in the north of Syria”

 

Addressing AK Party’s provincial congress in Aydın, President Erdoğan said: “We have shattered the terror belt that was planned to be constructed in the north of Syria from 4 points with our cross-border operations. We have not allowed the separatist terrorist organization to encircle Türkiye from the south under the guardianship of their imperialist masters.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s 8th ordinary provincial congress in Aydın.

“WE HAVE NOT ALLOWED THE SEPARATIST TERRORIST ORGANIZATION TO ENCIRCLE TÜRKİYE FROM THE SOUTH”

President Erdoğan said: “Firmly sticking to the legacy for which our martyrs have sacrificed their lives, we have been working round the clock for the past 22 years to glorify Türkiye and boost its prestige. We will work to pay, at least to some extent, our debt of gratitude to our martyrs by achieving our goal of a terror-free Türkiye.”

Drawing attention to Türkiye’s determined fight against terror both at home and beyond its borders, President Erdoğan stated: “We will rid our country of the menace of separatist terror that has been draining our blood and resources just like a leech for 40 years. We have covered a significant distance in this direction in the recent period. We have inflicted a heavy cost on the separatist terrorist organization through our strategy of eliminating terror at its source. We have eliminated to a great extent the terror presence inside our borders as a result of our operations conducted throughout the year. With our Operation Claw-Lock in the north of Iraq, we have erected an unshakeable wall between Qandil and our country. We have shattered the terror belt that was planned to be constructed in the north of Syria from 4 points with our cross-border operations. We have therefore not allowed the separatist terrorist organization to encircle Türkiye from the south under the guardianship of their imperialist masters. We maintain our fight against terror with great sensitivity both at home and abroad.”

“WITH THE SYRIAN OPPOSITION LIBERATING DAMASCUS, THE SEPARATIST TERRORISTS HAVE BEEN ABSOLUTELY TRAPPED”

President Erdoğan noted: “With the Syrian opposition liberating Damascus, the separatist terrorists have been absolutely trapped. Currently, they are looking for new bosses for themselves and currying favor with those who do not want stability in our region. They are winking at the imperialist powers thriving on blood and tears. Yet, whatever they do is in vain, is useless. They can achieve nothing by nurturing animosity against Türkiye and Syria. They approach their end more and more as they run after separatist aspirations. Their lifespan will only shorten as they persist in their rejection of the new realities on the ground. They cannot and will not obtain any results so long as they rely on foreign powers.”

President Erdoğan continued his remarks as follows: “As I have said previously, they only have two choices ahead of them. Either they will repent from terrorism and lay down their arms, or they will not be able to avoid being purged. We, on our part, opt for a peaceful solution. Our wish is for our region to get rid of the scourge of terror without further bloodshed and destruction. Our priority is to ensure that peace, development and stability prevail in our shared geography, which has been ravaged by bloodshed and tears for years. An opportunity has emerged to enable Türkiye to achieve this goal in a shorter space of time as a result of the Syrian revolution as well as the steps taken in our domestic politics. We believe that this opportunity should not be wasted. We wholeheartedly wish to leave our children a more peaceful and safer country where brotherhood prevails.”
