“We will intensify the steps that will further increase the welfare level of everyone”

 

Addressing AK Party’s provincial congress in Izmir, President Erdoğan said: “The concrete results of our fight against inflation will be better seen by the end of this year. Our macroeconomic data are already at quite positive levels. As our economic programme reaches our goals, we will intensify the steps that will further increase the welfare level of everyone, starting with our fixed- and low-income citizens.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s 8th ordinary provincial congress in Izmir.

“WE HAVE INVESTED TL1.275 TRILLION IN IZMIR”

Stating that according to current figures they have invested TL1.275 trillion in Izmir in the past 22 years, President Erdoğan noted: “We have invested TL16 billion in justice, TL69 billion in education, TL11 billion in youth and sports, TL145 billion in social aid, TL45 billion in healthcare, TL186 billion in environment and urbanization, TL245 billion in transportation, TL121 billion in agriculture and forestry, including agricultural grant-in-aids, TL46 billion in industry and technology, including incentives, TL326 billion in energy as the state and private sector, TL7 billion in culture and tourism, and TL58 billion in labor and social security, including incentives.”

“CURRENT REGIONAL AND GLOBAL DEVELOPMENTS CLOSELY CONCERN TÜRKİYE”

Touching upon current regional and global developments, President Erdoğan stressed that all these developments closely concern Türkiye’s present position and its goals for the future, President Erdoğan added: “Therefore, it is impossible for us to exclude ourselves from any matter, or to remain indifferent to any incident. Every issue, from the Russia-Ukraine war to the revolution in Syria, from the tension in the Balkans to the conflicts in Africa, from the energy and influence disputes in the Mediterranean to the quests in the Caucasus and the Central Asia, is and must be on our agenda. We can even expand this list to a much broader area, from building a research station in the Antarctica to the works carried out to go to space.”

“WE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD THE CENTURY OF TÜRKİYE”

President Erdoğan continued as follows: “Although the economic challenges of recent years distress especially our fixed- and low-income citizens, rest assured that this is a temporary period. The concrete results of our fight against inflation will be better seen by the end of this year. Our macroeconomic data are already at quite positive levels. As our economic programme reaches our goals, we will intensify the steps that will further increase the welfare level of everyone, starting with our fixed- and low-income citizens. By consolidating our country’s position as a regional and global power, we will continue to build the Century of Türkiye.”
