“We will not allow our people to be polarized”

Addressing AK Party’s provincial congress in Van, President Erdoğan said: “We will continue to embrace Türkiye as a whole without making any distinction between Turks, Kurds, Zazas, Alevis, or Sunnis. We will not tolerate fanaticism or any discrimination based on ethnicity, language, culture, origin and lifestyle, nor will we allow our people to be polarized.”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s 8th ordinary provincial congress in Van.
“WE WILL NOT TOLERATE FANATICISM OR ANY DISCRIMINATION”
Stating that they will carry out their works in Van by winning people’s affection and addressing their minds and hearts, President Erdoğan said: “We will continue to embrace Türkiye as a whole without making any distinction between Turks, Kurds, Zazas, Alevis, or Sunnis. We will not tolerate fanaticism or any discrimination based on ethnicity, language, culture, origin and lifestyle, nor will we allow our people to be polarized. Please bear in your minds that we as the only hope of our nation are on a long and narrow path. What we have done so far is obviously important, and yet not enough. We do not focus on saving the day but the future. We take action with quarter-century, half-century’s worth of projections. We pursue great targets that we have longed for centuries, not pipe dreams.”
“WE HAVE INVESTED TL552 BILLION IN VAN”
Underscoring that they have invested TL552 billion in Van with current figures, President Erdoğan noted: “We have introduced projects and services worth of TL3.5 billion in justice, TL67 billion in education, TL5billion in youth and sports, TL141 billion in social aid, TL15 billion in healthcare, TL123 billion in environment and urbanization, with an ongoing investments worth of TL7 billion, TL76 billion in transportation, TL51 billion in agriculture and forestry, TL18 billion in industry and technology, 6 billion of it investment and 12 billion financial supports, TL44 billion in energy, TL2 billion in culture and tourism, and TL7 billion in labor and social security, including incentives.”
Also touching upon Türkiye’s fight against terror, President Erdoğan stressed that they see the breakdown in the terrorist organization due to the operations and the advantageous climate created as a result of the revolution taken place in Syria as an opportunity to end terror, adding that they will definitely realize their goal of a terror-free Türkiye.
