“Our noble nation has managed to rise from its ashes in every period of history”

 

Speaking at the Republic Day Special Event, President Erdoğan said: “Our noble nation has managed to rise from its ashes in every period of history by overcoming all the attacks it has faced. Today, we are entering a period when we rise not on our ashes, but on the capabilities and determination we possess. Just as we crowned with victory the national struggle we waged despite all the deprivations, we will also emerge victorious from this struggle.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Republic Day Special Event at the Presidential Complex.

President Erdoğan said: “Our Republic was established 101 years ago not as a new state, but as a regime that symbolized a new beginning. The fact that the foundation years of our institutions that form the backbone of our state, especially our army, date back to hundreds or even thousands of years ago is the clearest expression of this truth. Our Republic, since its establishment, has of course had some shortcomings, some weaknesses, or even some mistaken choices; however, none of these are enough to cast a shadow over the humanitarian values that set an example to the whole world, the deep-rooted history and the rich civilization that we have inherited. Quite the contrary, our noble nation has managed to rise from its ashes in every period of history by overcoming all the attacks it has faced. Today, we are entering a period when we rise not on our ashes, but on the capabilities and determination we possess. In other words, we are on the threshold of a new and stronger beginning. Just as we crowned with victory the national struggle we waged despite all the deprivations, we will also emerge victorious from this struggle.”
