“Over the past 22 years, we have implemented the Republican history’s greatest projects in Türkiye”

 

Addressing AK Party’s provincial congress in Denizli, President Erdoğan said: “We have worked day and night so as not to let our dedicated people down, who trust and believe in us and who have never abandoned us during our most difficult days. We are living the joy of having implemented over the past 22 years the Republican history’s greatest achievements, investments and projects in Türkiye.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s 8th ordinary provincial congress in Denizli.

“OUR PASSION TO SERVE TÜRKİYE HAS NEVER WEAKENED OR DIMINISHED”

President Erdoğan said: “When we first embarked on our journey, our direction was set by our nation. Since then, we have never deviated from the direction determined by the nation. Our passion to serve Türkiye has never weakened or diminished. We have worked day and night so as not to let our dedicated people down, who trust and believe in us and who have never abandoned us during our most difficult days.”

Drawing attention to the services and works launched in Türkiye since the AK Party took office, President Erdoğan stated: “We are living the joy of having implemented over the past 22 years the Republican history’s greatest achievements, investments and projects in Türkiye. Please put your hands on your hearts and look at the difference. You will see that there is a tremendous difference between Denizli 22 years ago and Denizli today. There is a massive difference in every area between Türkiye 22 years ago and Türkiye today. In economy, exports, production, employment, agriculture, and tourism, whichever area you look at, you see an enormous and magnificent difference compared to 22 years ago.” 

Highlighting Denizli’s contributions to Türkiye’s overall annual exports, President Erdoğan added: “As you know, foreign trade figures were announced last week. We closed last year with 262 billion dollars in exports. Do you know what this figure was when we first came to power? It was just 36 billion dollars, which means a nearly 8-fold increase in 22 years. 262 billion dollars is an annual all-time high in our Republican history. Denizli has played an important role in this historic achievement.”

“WE ARE ONE OF THE COUNTRIES MOST AFFECTED BY THE NEGATIVE RAMIFICATIONS OF THE CONFLICTS IN SYRIA”

Touching on the developments in Syria, President Erdoğan said: “Following 13 years of bloody massacres in Syria, the Assad regime was overthrown on December 8, with the Baath dictatorship collapsing and the opposition re-conquering Damascus. As Türkiye, we are delighted that the opposition, which also incorporates elements supported by us, terminated the 13-year oppression. The liberation of Syria made us happy, just like our millions of Syrian brothers and sisters. There is nothing more natural then this since we are one of the countries most affected by the negative ramifications of the conflicts in Syria, with which we share a 911-km-long border. We have paid a high price in many areas extending from terrorist acts to attacks on our country. The separatist terrorist organization PKK and DAESH thrived on the instability in this country. These organizations have been emboldened with the support of foreign powers. They have sent thousands of truckloads of weapons and ammunition to the separatist organization under the pretext of fighting DAESH.”

President Erdoğan continued his remarks as follows: “The tyrant Assad and his cronies had turned Syria into a massive drug production farm. We are aware of everything, particularly the pills produced by the oppressive Assad family. I am not even mentioning here the prisons turned into death and torture centers, the extrajudicial killings, and the women raped and murdered in front of their children. In short, a popular revolution that would bring joy to anyone who carries a heart instead of a stone in their body has taken place in Syria.”
