“Today Türkiye has the power to design its own game plan at home and in its region”
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ new headquarters, President Erdoğan said: “Today Türkiye is a country that has the power to design its own game plan at home and in its region, and to execute them no matter who says what. Just like a master chess player, we meticulously plan all of our moves and then calmly implement them.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ new headquarters in Ankara.
“INTERNATIONAL POLITICS ARE BECOMING MORE AMBIGUOUS AND MORE UNPREDICTABLE”
Stating that international politics are becoming more ambiguous and more unpredictable each passing day, President Erdoğan said that they as the government endeavor to manage all the crises, conflicts and ambiguities in a successful manner that would do no harm to the Turkish nation, and added: “We sincerely work in order for stability and cooperation to take root in a vast geography, from the Balkans to the Central Asia, Africa to Latin America, and Europe to Asia Pacific. We raise our voice and cry out justice when need be, we bring conflicting parties together around the same table when need be, and we seek to solve crisis through shuttle diplomacy before they get worse. By using our soft power capabilities at times, and hard power at times, we redirect developments in favor of our country.”
“WE METICULOUSLY PLAN ALL OUR MOVES”
Underscoring that the priorities of the Turkish foreign policy are obvious, which he noted preserving stability, increasing calm, ensuring peace, and strengthening ties of brotherhood, President Erdoğan stated that they have locked in on their targets inside and beyond their borders, and continued as follows: “Today Türkiye is a country that has the power to design its own game plan at home and in its region, and to execute it no matter who says what. Just like a master chess player, we meticulously plan all our moves and then calmly implement them. No provocation will manage to prevent us from achieving our goals.”
“NO ONE CAN PREVENT US FROM STANDING BY THE OPPRESSED GAZANS”
Noting that the language of diplomacy is politeness, and that Türkiye has a peace-oriented foreign policy, President Erdoğan said that it does not mean that they will neither remain silent nor bow down to impertinencies, and went on to say: “Let me reiterate that we do not bow down to oppression or oppressors. No one can prevent us from standing by the oppressed Gazans, who are struggling to survive under Israel’s brutal attacks.
We will continue to be in full solidarity with all our brothers and sisters in Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Qatar, who are targeted by the Israeli banditry. Terror and massacre are each an abdication of reason, whether the perpetrator is an group or a state. This bloody deadlock will inshallah eventually be broken. Those who assume they can build a safe future for themselves through oppression, genocide and barbarities at the cost of innocent children’s lives, will definitely lose, be drowned in the blood they have shed, just like many others in history.”
“AL-QUDS IS THE COMMON CAUSE OF THE 2-BILLION ISLAMIC WORLD”
Further stressing that they respect the rights of Christians and Jews as well as Muslims, President Erdoğan stated that al-Quds is the common cause and common legacy of the 2-billion Islamic world, and said: “Let them continue to throw tantrums, we as Muslims will not take even a single step backwards from our rights on East al-Quds. Our fight to make al-Quds once again a city of peace, calm and security will inshallah uninterruptedly continue with an unshakeable determination and without any regression or negligence. Likewise, we will continue to work with all our strength for the establishment of an independent, sovereign and territorially-integrated state of Palestine within the 1967 borders, with East al-Quds as its capital.”
