“Türkiye has the power to eliminate any threat against its perpetuity at its source”

 

Speaking at the SAHA EXPO 2024 International Defence and Aerospace Exhibition Opening Event, President Erdoğan, in reference to the terrorist attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries’ facility in Ankara, said: “We will continue to crack down on those who think they can make us back down through such treacheries and to shatter their lairs. The Republic of Türkiye has the power, capacity and determination to eliminate any threat against its perpetuity at its source.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the SAHA EXPO 2024 International Defence and Aerospace Exhibition Opening Event in Istanbul.

“ANY ATTACK TARGETING THE PEACE AND SECURITY OF OUR NATION WILL ULTIMATELY FAIL”

Recalling the terrorist attack conducted the previous day on the Turkish Aerospace Industries’ facility in Ankara, President Erdoğan said: “I pray for Allah’s mercy upon our heroes who died a martyr’s death in this treacherous and despicable attack. I offer my condolences to the grieving families and loved ones of our martyrs as well as to the TAI personnel. We will always remember the sacrifices of our martyrs with gratitude.  It is my belief and prayer that our nation will keep the cherished memory of our martyrs alive forever. I pray to Allah for a speedy recovery to our brothers and sisters wounded in the attack.”

President Erdoğan stated: “Despite the profound sorrow we feel for our martyrs, our determination to fight against the scoundrels who target our ideal for the Century of Türkiye is much greater. We will continue to crack down on those who think they can make us back down through such treacheries and to shatter their lairs. The Republic of Türkiye has the power, capacity and determination to eliminate any threat against its perpetuity at its source. Thank Allah, Türkiye also has the capability of foiling all sorts of traps through the solidarity of its 85 million citizens. All will understand this fact soon. Any attack targeting the peace and security of our nation will ultimately fail, rebound, and hit back the terror barons who thrive on bloodshed.”

“OUR AIR FORCES AND THE NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE ORGANIZATION HAVE NOT ALLOWED THE BLESSED BLOOD OF OUR MARTYRS TO GO UNREVENGED”

Noting that two of the traitorous members of the separatist terrorist organization who carried out the terrorist attack on TAI were captured dead, President Erdoğan said: “Our Air Forces and the National Intelligence Organization, responding vigorously to this nefarious attack, have destroyed the terrorist targets in Syria and Iraq and have not allowed the blessed blood of our martyrs to go unrevenged.”

President Erdoğan further stressed: “We can clearly see the intention behind these heinous acts. We are also very well aware of the hired killer gangs’ aim. Our wise and foresighted nation is also cognizant of the objectives served by the bloody acts of these separatist murderers.”

Pointing out that the treacherous terrorist attack on TAI and the steps to be taken in the fight against terror were discussed in detail during yesterday’s security meeting in Istanbul, President Erdoğan added: “We will not allow anyone to come between us and our goal of a terror-free Türkiye where 85 million people live together in peace.” 

Underscoring that attempts by Türkiye’s enemies to drag the country into darkness will be thwarted, President Erdoğan said: “The Republic of Türkiye is greater and stronger than not just all the terrorist organizations, but also the imperialist gangs that unleashed these deadly murder networks upon us.”

“TÜRKİYE IS PROGRESSING WITH FIRM STEPS ON THE PATH TO BECOMING A POWERFUL ACTOR IN GLOBAL DEFENSE INDUSTRY”

Drawing attention to Türkiye’s achievements in defense industry over the past 22 years, President Erdoğan said: “Türkiye is progressing with firm steps on the path to becoming a powerful actor in the sphere of global defense industry. This success is being consolidated with strategic partnerships and international projects in addition to designing, developing and generating the technology. We cannot take enough pride in this.”

Sharing some current and striking data regarding Türkiye’s defense industry activities, President Erdoğan said: “In 2002, our defense industry exports hardly amounted to 248 million dollars. We have increased this figure to 5.6 billion dollars. We exported over 230 defense products to 185 countries last year alone. Our defense and aviation exports in September of this year rose by 32 percent compared to the same month last year. Our exports over the first nine months of this year have increased by 12.2 percent compared to the same period last year. In the last 12 months, our exports have reached 6.15 billion dollars with a 10.4 percent rise. In 2024 alone, our defense industry companies have broken a major record by exporting products to 178 countries.”

Noting that Türkiye’s unmanned aerial vehicles such as Bayraktar TB2, AKINCI, ANKA and AKSUNGUR have made remarkable impacts across the world and are described as ‘game changers’, President Erdoğan said: “We are planning to add our unmanned combat aircraft KIZILELMA and ANKA III to this list in the upcoming period. Türkiye will further consolidate its dominance in this sphere with the inclusion of these asymmetrical defense products in our inventory. We have already increased our domestic production rate in defense industry to over 80 percent.”
