“We do our utmost to clear the path to peace in Gaza”

Addressing a meeting with AK Party’s provincial heads, President Erdoğan said: “We are doing our utmost to immediately stop the massacres in Gaza, reinstate ceasefire, and clear the path to peace.”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech during a meeting with the party’s provincial heads in Ankara.
Noting that Gazans spent yet another Eid under bombs because of Israel’s renewed attacks, President Erdoğan said: “Innocent children, women and civilians were atrociously massacred before the eyes of the whole world. We witnessed the kind of blatant crimes against humanity such as shooting at ambulances carrying injured people and murdering healthcare workers. In the face of this scene, we took steps by mobilizing all our resources and by exploring all avenues for all the innocents, particularly those in Gaza. We specifically brought up the inhumane situation in Gaza during the telephone conversations that we held with foreign leaders to exchange Eid al-Fitr greetings. During the fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum scheduled for the weekend, we will discuss the genocide in Gaza with the heads of state and government, focusing on potential steps to stop the oppression.”
Underscoring that Türkiye will never turn its back on its brothers and sisters in Gaza amid Israel’s infringement upon the dignity of humanity, President Erdoğan stated: “No one can hinder us from standing up for the truth and the oppressed. Just as we stood strong, without getting arrogant, in the face of the global Zionist lobby’s oppressions thus far, we will never bow down or yield to oppressors, either, and will always cry out the truth.”
President Erdoğan added: “As Türkiye, we neither violate anyone’s rights, nor allow anyone to violate our rights. Just like the innocents in Gaza, we will always stand with our Syrian brothers and sisters whenever they need us. We will determinedly fulfil our responsibilities to ensure that our neighbor Syria achieves stability.”
