“We will build the Century of Türkiye with our farmers”

 

Speaking at an event held on the occasion of May 14 World Farmers’ Day, President Erdoğan said: “We have brought our country to previously unimaginable levels not only in democracy, but also in economy, agriculture, husbandry, production and exports. And, we will build the Century of Türkiye shoulder to shoulder with our farmers as well.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Union of Turkish Chambers of Agriculture Advisory Board Meeting held in Ankara on the occasion of May 14 World Farmers’ Day.

Voicing his pleasure over meeting with farmers and their representatives, President Erdoğan extended his gratitude to all the farmers who have sacrificed themselves for Türkiye’s independence and future, and said: “We have fought together with you to save Türkiye from tutelage in all its forms. We have torn apart together with you the shackles put on the Turkish democracy. We have brought our country to previously unimaginable levels not only in democracy, but also in economy, agriculture, husbandry, production and exports. And, we will build the Century of Türkiye shoulder to shoulder with our farmers as well.”

Stressing that they have been endeavoring to give farmers the importance they deserve, President Erdoğan noted: “We have genuinely carried out intensive works to change the face and destiny of the Turkish agriculture, to provide it with a more competitive and sustainable structure, and to produce lasting, practical and modern solutions to problems. We have given significant support and grants in the area of rural development in order to bring our country’s agricultural potential to light. Thus, we have strengthened the agriculture-industry integration.”
