Addressing the Teachers’ Day Event, President Erdoğan said: “With the Maarif Model of the Century of Türkiye, we aim and hope to raise generations who not only obtain knowledge but also blend it with wisdom and ingrain virtue into their lives.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Teachers’ Day Event in Istanbul.

President Erdoğan said: “Through education, we seek to raise generations who possess not only a professional skillset but also a free mind and a clear conscience. With our one million teachers, with each and every member of our great education family, we work day and night to raise generations who have strong ties with their roots. Not only diplomas or knowledge, but an approach that prioritizes character building is also necessary to make this ideal come true. Only people of character with a determined stance and strong will can achieve works that can guide humanity. Academic success and diplomas are of course important; however, they will find their true meaning only if they rise on a strong character. It is this ideal, this aspiration that the Maarif Model of the Century of Türkiye embodies. With this model, we aim and hope to raise generations who not only obtain knowledge but also blend it with wisdom and ingrain virtue into their lives.”
