“As Muslims, it is imperative for us to act in unity and solidarity”

Addressing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, President Erdoğan said: “As Muslims, it is imperative for us to act in unity and solidarity, to act with the awareness of brotherhood, without losing any further time and in a manner befitting our faith. During this critical period, it is not only a necessity but also an obligation for us to set aside our differences of opinion and strengthen our friendship and togetherness without allowing the seeds of discord sown amongst us to flourish.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum in Istanbul.
“THE ZIONIST ISRAELI ADMINISTRATION HAS BEEN MERCILESSLY MASSACRING CIVILIANS, WOMEN AND INNOCENT CHILDREN”
President Erdoğan said: “As the Islamic world, we are going through a challenging period. Unfortunately, the clouds of war, conflict, and instability have shrouded the skies of our civilization’s geography. Particularly over the past two years, wherever we turn our faces to we encounter destruction, tragedy, and crimes against humanity and war crimes that wound our hearts. For the past 21 months, one of the most shameful acts of barbarism in modern times has been unfolding in Gaza. The Zionist Israeli administration has been immorally, shamelessly and mercilessly massacring civilians, women and innocent children before the eyes of the whole world. It keeps expanding its policies of illegal settlement and occupation in occupied territories, 80 percent of which is in a state of rubble, without regard for any rules, laws, norms or principles. It is weaponizing hunger by blocking the entry of any kind of aid. In Gaza, people who stand in line for a piece of bread or a bowl of soup are being brutally targeted. Civilian residential areas, schools, places of worship, and hospitals are being bombed.”
“We are faced with a mentality that is an enemy of humanity that has destroyed the entire healthcare infrastructure of Gaza under various excuses. It is not merely hypocrisy, but an outrageous act of shamefulness and audacity for those who have turned Gaza into the world’s largest concentration camp to speak of war crimes. I know, some will get very annoyed but I need to express a fact here openly: The Netanyahu administration is primarily responsible for the genocide in Gaza; however, those who remain silent in the face of the massacres perpetrated by this network of murder have also become accomplices to these crimes,” President Erdoğan stated, adding: “Netanyahu and his government, through the atrocities they have arrogantly committed for months without regard for any rules, have placed their names alongside those of tyrants such as Hitler and Pol Pot.”
“BOTH THE GENOCIDE IN GAZA AND THE ONGOING CLASHES IN IRAN ARE, UNFORTUNATELY, RAPIDLY COMING TO A POINT OF NO RETURN”
“Both the genocide in Gaza and the ongoing clashes in Iran are, unfortunately, rapidly coming to a point of no return. This state of banditry and craziness must stop. It is imperative that fingers be lifted from the triggers before more destruction, bloodshed, and civilian casualties take place, and before a terrible catastrophe unfolds. Powers that have influence over Israel should fall for Netanyahu’s game and should use their leverage in favor of establishing a ceasefire and calm in our region. Türkiye is ready to support and contribute to every right and sincere step to be taken in this direction,” President Erdoğan said.
President Erdoğan went on: “The wounds that have been bleeding for years in different parts of the geography of our hearts and culture remain unhealed and the sufferings endured for years remain unalleviated. If there is an issue, there is for sure also a responsibility, and it is futile to try to escape this responsibility. Whoever remains silent to this much tragedy, oppression and injustice is complicit in all of these crimes. As Muslims, it is imperative for us to act in unity and solidarity, to act with the awareness of brotherhood, without losing any further time and in a manner befitting our faith. During this critical period, it is not only a necessity but also an obligation for us to set aside our differences of opinion and strengthen our friendship and togetherness without allowing the seeds of discord sown amongst us to flourish.”
