“It is our primary duty to establish an inclusive climate in our country”
Speaking at Kanal 7’s 30th Foundation Anniversary Event, President Erdoğan said: “It is our primary duty towards our nation to establish and consolidate an embracing and inclusive climate in our country where no one feels like ‘the other’. Through the steps we have taken in democracy and freedoms over the past 22 years, we have eliminated the discriminatory, exclusionary and oppressive practices of the February 28 period.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at Kanal 7’s 30th Foundation Anniversary Event in Istanbul.
“WE HAVE MADE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF OUR 85 MILLION PEOPLE A FIRST-CLASS CITIZEN OF THE STATE”
“We will undoubtedly make sure that our children live in a Türkiye where there is no form of oligarchy, media is not employed as an instrument to design politics, fundamental rights and freedoms are enjoyed fully; a Türkiye that has influence and credibility, a Türkiye whose passport is respected and whose democracy is strong. We call this a Türkiye without ‘the other’. It is our primary duty towards our nation to establish and consolidate an embracing and inclusive climate in our country where no one feels like ‘the other’. Through the steps we have taken in democracy and freedoms over the past 22 years, we have eliminated the discriminatory, exclusionary and oppressive practices of the February 28 period. We have resolved a wide range of issues that were forbidden to even think about let alone discuss publicly. Regardless of their faith, race, or lifestyle, we have made each and every one of our 85 million people a first-class citizen of the state”, President Erdoğan said.
“AS OF YESTERDAY, A NEW PHASE HAS BEGUN IN THE EFFORTS FOR A TERROR-FREE TÜRKİYE”
“As of yesterday, a new phase has begun in the efforts for a terror-free Türkiye,” President Erdoğan stressed. “We now have an opportunity to take a historic step on the path to tearing down the terror wall erected among our thousand-year brotherhood. Disrupting the insidious and dirty game imperialism has been playing in our region for two centuries will benefit not only our nation but the whole region. This new path is rendered more meaningful and much more important by imperialists’ increasingly audacious intentions and humanitarian tragedies unfolding recently right before the eyes of the whole world.”
President Erdoğan went on: “Once the pressure of weapons and terrorism disappears, the politics will also have a larger democratic area. Türkiye will therefore not only disrupt imperialism’s dirty games but will also achieve its goals in economic development as well as in domestic and foreign politics more rapidly.”
