“It is our primary duty to not allow public servants to be crushed under inflation”

Speaking at MEMUR-SEN’s 30th Year Loyalty Gathering, President Erdoğan said: “As the Turkish economy has grown bigger, we have ensured that the generated added value is distributed to all the segments of the society in a just manner. It is our primary duty to duly protect the rights and improve the conditions of our public servants as well as our manufacturers, farmers, laborers and industrialists, and to not allow them to be crushed under inflation.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the MEMUR-SEN’s 30th Year Loyalty Gathering in Ankara.

“WE HAVE IMPROVED THE FINANCIAL AND PERSONAL RIGHTS OF OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS”

President Erdoğan said: “The efforts we have made, the steps we have taken and the reforms we have implemented for our public servants in the past 23 years are evident. As the Turkish economy has grown bigger, we have ensured that the generated added value is distributed to all the segments of the society in a just manner. It is our primary duty to duly protect the rights and improve the conditions of our public servants as well as our manufacturers, farmers, laborers and industrialists, and to not allow them to be crushed under inflation. Just as we have thus far improved the social, financial and personal rights of our public servants, we will inshallah act with the same principle in the new collective labor agreement period as well.”

“WE BY NO MEANS APPROVE THE ATTACKS ON REGIONAL SECURITY”

Stating that on one hand they are endeavoring to heal the wounds of the February 6 earthquakes, which cost more than 100 billion dollars, they work to manage the regional conflicts and crises with peace on the other, President Erdoğan noted that they have not allowed the 3.5-year-long Russia-Ukraine war to spread to Türkiye, and added: “Türkiye is one of the countries that have displayed the clearest stance against Israel in the Gaza genocide that has been ongoing since October 7, 2023. We have renounced a trade volume of nearly 9 billion dollars by halting all trade with genocidal Israel. While the main opposition has casted aspersions of terror on the Palestinian resistance, we have stood tall for our Gazan brothers and sisters. Most recently, we have been exerting intensive efforts in order for the attacks of Israel and its backers on Iran not to turn into a much graver disaster. We by no means approve the attacks on Iran’s sovereignty and regional security, from whoever they may come, and overtly respond to them.”

Reminding that Türkiye hosted the 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul last weekend, President Erdoğan said that he will go to The Hague tomorrow for the 2025 NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.
