“July 15 is the last example of how strong and invincible we are”
Speaking at a commemoration for the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, President Erdoğan said: “This epic is the victory of brave people, whose roots lie in these lands, against traitors, who have sold their homeland together with their souls. This epic is the last example of how great, vigilant, strong and invincible we are when we as the nation unite together as one.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech a commemoration held at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye for the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
Voicing his pleasure over coming together with the participants of the commemoration under the roof of the Ghazi Parliament, President Erdoğan wished Allah’s mercy upon all the martyrs who on the night of the July 15 sacrificed their lives and stopped that unscrupulous attack, but never bowed down to the occupiers.

Underscoring that these lands are the lands on which epics that guide history is written, President Erdoğan stressed that the Turkish nation, with its profound experience, unique character and strong faith, is a nation that has given hope to the oppressed, and fear to the foes for a thousand years, and said: “This very nation made a glorious history, which will be remembered with pride until the end of the world, on the night of the July 15 with their lives, blood and existence, after Çanakkale victory and the national struggle. This epic is the victory of naked hands against tanks, planes and bombs. This epic is the victory of brave people, whose roots lie in these lands, against traitors, who have sold their homeland together with their souls. This epic is the last example of how great, vigilant, strong and invincible we are when we as the nation unite together as one.”

Drawing attention to the efforts aimed at a terror-free Türkiye, President Erdoğan noted that as Türkiye frees itself from the 50-year-long shackles of terror, a brand-new period will begin in economy, defense, development, security as well as domestic and foreign policy, and added: “The terror-free Türkiye will unlock the process towards a terror-free region, and the construction of the Century of Türkiye will speed up. Türkiye will inshallah take its rightful place as a new dynamo in this multipolar world. We have no doubt about it because we believe in our nation, we believe in our eternal brotherhood, we believe in to the end our democracy’s capacity to solve problems.”
