“Our goods exports rose by 4.5 percent year-on-year to $273.4 billion in 2025”

Announcing Türkiye’s export figures for 2025, President Erdoğan said: “We broke a new record in monthly exports with $26.4 billion in December. With a net increase of $3 billion in December compared with the same month last year, we surpassed the $26 billion threshold in monthly exports for the first time. We also broke a similar record in our goods exports in 2025. Our goods exports, I would like to draw your attention, rose by 4.5 percent year-on-year to reach $273,4 billion in total, marking the highest annual export figure in the Republic’s history.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the 2025 Export Figures Announcement Program in Istanbul.

“ISRAELI GOVERNMENT CONTINUES TO MASSACRE CIVILIANS”

Stressing that the geography Türkiye is located in has been home to incidents that occupy the global agenda, President Erdoğan said: “This reality didn’t change in 2025, too. The year 2025, which we have left behind, has been marked by oppression, massacres and chaos across our cultural and kindred geography, particularly in Gaza. Israel’s brutal attacks have unfortunately martyrized over 71 thousand of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, mostly children and women, with 172 thousand others wounded. Gaza, 90 percent of which has been reduced to rubble, has witnessed one of the most brutal genocides of the last century. International system, particularly the United Nations Security Council, has once again failed to live up to what is expected of it, the price for which has been mostly incurred by the innocents in Gaza. Despite the ceasefire, established with our contributions, the Israeli government continues to block the entry of humanitarian aid and massacre civilians, destabilizing a vast region extending from the Middle East to Africa.”

“WE NEVER CAPITALIZE ON BLOODSHED AND SUFFERINGS”

“Another zone of conflict that left its mark on the last year was the north of the Black Sea. The Russia-Ukraine war, about to enter its fifth year, has killed hundreds of thousands people, devastating cities and forcibly displacing millions of people. It appears that in recent months the war has escalated to a level of endangering commercial and navigational safety in the Black Sea. We continue our engagements to prevent this. It is our sincere wish for this war, which increasingly risks to get out control due to reciprocal attacks, to end immediately through a just and lasting peace.”

Stating that Türkiye is a country that enjoys relations built upon mutual respect with both of the warring parties, President Erdoğan went on: “We stand ready to assume every sort of responsibility to clear the path to peace. We at every opportunity emphasize with our most heartfelt sincerity that we never seek to steal the spotlight or play to the gallery, or to capitalize on bloodshed and sufferings. We have never acted in a spirit of deriving profit from conflicts. The essence of our foreign policy is to make friends rather than enemies, and to maximize the number of our friends. We wish to win together through friendship instead of losing through fighting. Unlike those investing in tensions, we endeavor to cultivate a belt of peace and security that would benefit everyone.”

President Erdoğan added: “Attempts to sideline Türkiye have failed every time thus far. It has been understood by all that no equation can be established without Türkiye, and that even if such an equation is tried to be established, it will not be long-lasting. Impulsive outbursts, baseless rhetoric and arrogant statements have sooner or later hit the wall of facts, proving countless times that Türkiye is indispensable.”

“WE SURPASSED THE $26 BILLION THRESHOLD IN MONTHLY EXPORTS FOR THE FIRST TIME”

Drawing attention to the successful performance of the Turkish economy throughout 2025, a year that indeed tested its resilience, President Erdoğan said: “Not only the growth figures but also the export figures attest to Türkiye’s capacity. We broke a new record in monthly exports with $26.4 billion in December. With a net increase of $3 billion in December compared with the same month last year, we surpassed the $26 billion threshold in monthly exports for the first time.”

President Erdoğan went on: “We also broke a similar record in our goods exports in 2025. Our goods exports, I would like to draw your attention, rose by 4.5 percent year-on-year to reach $273,4 billion in total, marking the highest annual export figure in the Republic’s history. May it be auspicious. These are not the only records we achieved in 2025. Our exports in goods also increased in the first 10 months of last year, with the first five months seeing an all-time high in monthly exports.  In 2025, there was a net increase of $11.7 billion in our goods exports. I estimate that our total exports in goods and services reached $396.5 billion in 2025, with our exports in services recording a net rise of $6 billion and our annual exports in services amounting to $123.1 billion.”
