Speaking at the 9th National Will Iftar in Istanbul, President Erdoğan said: “Our sole aim is to bring together all our 85 million people under the vision of the Century of Türkiye, inspired by the spirit of 1071 Malazgirt and the brotherhood manifesto reflected in our National Anthem, and thereby to ensure that Türkiye takes its rightful place in the new global system and is represented in a manner that befits our nation.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the 9th National Will Iftar in Istanbul.
Noting that a new global system has been established in the world, President Erdoğan said: “Brand new policies are being developed to strengthen the society and the public not only in Asia, Europe or America, but almost everywhere. Humanity is working to get prepared for a new era of struggle in every area, from economy to trade, from defense to population rates.”
Stressing that Türkiye, too, is preparing for the new era with all its means and resources, President Erdoğan stated: “We have been laying the foundations ahead of this new era in a wide range of areas like transitioning to the Presidential System of Government, which secures stability in the administration, our moves in defense industry, our efforts to consolidate our domestic front in the fight against such deviancies as the LGBT menace, the steps we are taking towards the goal of a terror-free Türkiye, and the equations we set up in foreign policy.”

President Erdoğan went on: “While boosting our country’s capacity throughout this process, we particularly endeavor to remedy the social fault lines deepened by discriminations among ethnicities, sects and cultures. Our sole aim is to bring together all our 85 million people under the vision of the Century of Türkiye, inspired by the spirit of 1071 Malazgirt and the brotherhood manifesto reflected in our National Anthem, and thereby to ensure that Türkiye takes its rightful place in the new global system and is represented in a manner that befits our nation. Whenever Türkiye objects to the position assigned to it, it has been targeted by certain malign foreign forces whose roots are abroad. Whenever Türkiye shows the courage to take steps that break the mold, certain circles have pushed the button and diverted our country’s attention away. We have experienced this numerous times in the Republican history. We have witnessed this in the right-left, Alevi-Sunni provocations. We have observed this in the incitements targeting university students. We have seen this in the illegitimate moves against our democracy.”
