“Our top priority is to solve the problems of our citizens with disabilities”

 

Addressing the International Day of Persons with Disabilities Gathering, President Erdoğan said: “As the state, our top priority is to solve the problems of our citizens with disabilities and take steps in accordance with the demands and expectations of them and their families. It is also our fundamental responsibility to constantly expand the frame of awareness and effectively implement the principle of accessibility in every realm of life, including digital technologies.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the International Day of Persons with Disabilities Gathering in Ankara.

“As the state, our top priority is to solve the problems of our citizens with disabilities and take steps in accordance with the demands and expectations of them and their families. It is also our fundamental responsibility to constantly expand the frame of awareness and effectively implement the principle of accessibility in every realm of life, including digital technologies. Yet, all these efforts, given their nature, call for cooperation and coordination. I am pleased to witness an increasingly growing mindfulness regarding this issue, including among the central administration, local administrations, academia, civil society and business community,” President Erdoğan stated.
