Phone Call with President Putin of Russia

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

The call addressed the meeting the Russian and Ukrainian negotiation delegations held in Istanbul on Tuesday.

President Erdoğan stated that hopes for peace had been revived since the meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul had been positive and constructive.

Underlining the importance of the parties acting with commonsense and maintaining dialogue, President Erdoğan expressed Türkiye’s desire to crown the peace efforts by bringing together President Vladimir Putin of Russia and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine.

President Putin of Russia, for his part, thanked President Erdoğan for having hosted the meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian negotiation delegations in Istanbul.
