Pope Leo XIV, Head of the State of Vatican City, at the Presidential Complex

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Pope Leo XIV, Head of the State of Vatican City, who is paying an official visit to Türkiye, with an official ceremony at the Presidential Complex.

Once President Erdoğan and Pope Leo XIV arrived at the ceremonial ground, the national anthem of Türkiye and the anthem of the State of Vatican City were played, and Pope Leo XIV inspected the guard of honor.

Following the introduction of the delegations, President Erdoğan and Pope Leo XIV posed for the press and headed inside for their tête-à-tête and the meeting between the delegations.
