President Erdoğan attends commencement ceremony of Naval and Air War Colleges
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the commencement and flag handover ceremony of National Defence University Naval and Air War Colleges in the Tuzla district of Istanbul.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, President Erdoğan underscored that Turkey had become a hope for all the oppressed and the wronged when it started to become stronger with the progress it had made in democracy and development, and said: “Having foiled one by one the numerous traps, from PKK to FETO, set against Turkey, we have focused on our primary agenda. We determinedly take the steps that will reinforce great and strong Turkey in every area, from rights and freedoms to economy, and march step by step towards our bright future.”
“WE FURTHER HOLD ONTO OUR STRENGTH AND MEANS WHILE KEEPING THE CHANNELS OF DIPLOMACY OPEN”
Underscoring that Turkey today produced its own UAVs and UCAVs, President Erdoğan, drawing attention to the obstacles raised before Turkey regarding the supply of all kinds of goods, from the simplest one to the most advanced, that were used in the production of UAVs and UCAVs, President Erdoğan said: “We witnessed how the products, which were not sold to us, were delivered for nothing before our very eyes to terrorist organizations, murderous regimes and groups ostensibly designated as enemies. We are together at NATO, but they deliver truckloads of ammunition and equipment for nothing to terrorist organizations. We even seized some of them during the operations we carried out and recorded them into our inventory. Thus, our inventory has grown much stronger. Also, we found out that many weapons, which were not given our country through legitimate avenues, were being sold as an ordinary product at black markets for weapons in the regions where terrorists roamed freely. And did we just find out? No. We seized them. All these incidents have shown us again and again that the problem is neither the technology of these weapons nor the pretexts presented to us on paper, but directly Turkey and the Turkish nation. That being the case, while we continue to follow all these processes by keeping the channels of diplomacy open, we further hold onto our strength and means.”
