President Erdoğan attends exclusive interview on TRT

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made remarks and answered questions on current issues in a joint interview with TRT 1, TRT Haber, TRT Türk, TRT Avaz, TRT World, TRT Arabi, TRT Kurdî and TRT Radio.

During the interview held at Dolmabahçe Palace, President Erdoğan made remarks and answered questions on a wide range of issues, including the upcoming March 31 local elections, the period following the elections and the Turkish economy.

“WE WILL ACHIEVE THIS YEAR THE GOAL OF 50 MILLION TOURISTS”

Asked about the steps to be taken following the elections to manage the future and citizens’ expectations in particular, President Erdoğan underscored that the number one problem in Turkey is terror, adding that due to this problem, domestic and international investors avoid investing in east and southeast regions. Stating that they will carry out a particular work on this issue following the elections, and will give all kinds of assurances to investors, President Erdoğan noted that they will strive to attract entrepreneurs with regard to strategic investments.

Drawing attention to the upcoming four-and-a-half-year period without elections, President Erdoğan, referring to international investors waiting to invest in Turkey, pointed out that with the investment process ahead, there will be great opportunities in terms of employment, adding that some of these investments will start to yield results within one or two years.

Also underscoring that Turkey will experience a tourism boom with the upcoming summer season, President Erdoğan said they will achieve this year the goal of 50 million tourists, and that there are also very specific developments in agriculture, advanced technology and defense industry.
