President Erdoğan attends former PM Mesut Yılmaz’s funeral

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended former Prime Minister Mesut Yılmaz’s funeral in Istanbul.

President Erdoğan offered his condolences to the late Yılmaz’s wife Berna Yılmaz, his son Hasan Yılmaz, and his brother Turgut Yılmaz.

Addressing citizens following the funeral prayer, President Erdoğan wished Allah’s mercy upon the late Mesut Yılmaz and said: "May he rest in heaven! I offer my gratitude on behalf of myself, my family and my nation. Our unity and solidarity will, without doubt, be our greatest richness as a nation." Afterwards, President Erdoğan prayed for the late Yılmaz’s soul.
