President Erdoğan attends groundbreaking ceremony of Darulaceze Social Services City

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Darulaceze Social Services City in Istanbul’s district of Arnavutköy.

Making a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony, President Erdoğan remembered with mercy and gratitude Sultan Aldulhamid II, who gifted the Turkish nation Darulaceze, an exceptional institution which serves as a home to those in need. “This institution, which embraces all the indigent, that is all those in need, without any discrimination on the basis of faith, race, origin, gender or age, is one of the most beautiful examples of our civilization’s and nation’s view of humanity,” the President said.

Drawing attention to the human-oriented nature of the activities and works carried out by the Turkish government, President Erdoğan thanked anyone who contributes to the continuation and improvement of this institution, and added: “We draw inspiration in our similar activities from the fact that Darulaceze has been an affectionate home to 100 thousand people, 30 thousand of them children, throughout its nearly 127-year-long history.”
