President Erdoğan attends Istanbul Chamber of Commerce 140th Anniversary Special Awards Ceremony
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Special Awards Ceremony marking the 140th Anniversary of the establishment of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ICOC).
Noting that the ICOC, which is one of the biggest and oldest chambers of commerce in the world with its members numbering over 640 thousand, operates in line with a mission dedicated to Türkiye’s future, President Erdoğan highlighted that the ICOC’s history mirrors the country’s historical experience in a sense.
Drawing attention to the efforts that have been exerted in cooperation with the ICOC in order to protect the business community during the pandemic, which has had adverse effects on Türkiye just like the whole world, President Erdoğan expressed his expectation that the strongest contribution to the future moves aimed at building the great Türkiye would come from Istanbul and the ICOC as well.
Stressing that it is time to reap the fruits of the services and projects introduced across the country over the past two decades, President Erdoğan stated: “While winning ourselves as well as making our friends win, we will also display a stance that befits our civilization in every area including politics, economy, military, diplomacy and culture for a fairer world.”
