President Erdoğan attends key delivery ceremony of Türkiye-Albania Post-earthquake Houses
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the key delivery ceremony of the post-earthquake houses built by the Housing Development Administration of Türkiye (TOKI) in the Laç city of Albania.
President Erdoğan, in his address at the ceremony, stated that Türkiye had mobilized all its means following the 2019 earthquake and delivered aid and sent technical teams to Albania through the Turkish embassy in the country, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the Turkish Red Crescent, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
Underscoring that the delivery of the post-earthquake houses was crowning the friendship between Türkiye and Albania, President Erdoğan said: “Through the post-earthquake houses we built, we ensure that 522 families in this area live the rest of their lives in peace and security. I wish that the post-earthquake houses, which we have gathered to hold the delivery ceremony of, may lead to auspicious outcomes for the residents of the city of Laç. I wish that you may peacefully and healthily live in these houses with your families and loved ones for the rest of your lives. I congratulate all, from engineers to workers, contractor companies and all our institutions, particularly the Ministry of Environment and TİKA, that contributed to the completion of this project. I thank Albanian officials in the person of my treasured friend Edi Rama for the support they provided during the process.”
