President Erdoğan attends opening ceremony of “41 Projects in 41 Months” in Istanbul

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the opening ceremony of “41 Projects in 41 Months” in Istanbul’s Eyüpsultan district.

President Erdoğan made a speech at the ceremony.

Drawing attention to the difficult period the world has been going through which has started with the pandemic, continued with the war, escalated with the energy and food crises, and further deteriorated with threats like climate change, President Erdoğan said Türkiye, throughout this period, has not only protected its own citizens in the best way but has also continued to move closer step by step to its goal of becoming one of the leading countries of the new global order of governance and economy.

There is a price to be paid when overcoming hardships, said the President, and added: “For instance, we left behind the epidemic period with a loss of nearly 100 thousand lives but we offered our citizens the highest-standard healthcare services in the world. Likewise, while the Ukraine-Russia war has caused unexpected fluctuations in inflation due to the exorbitant rises in commodity prices, our strategic position has grown stronger.”

Stressing that the disruptions experienced in the global production and supply systems attest to the appropriateness of Türkiye’s economic program based on growth through investment, employment, production and current account surplus, President Erdoğan pointed out that good news would soon be given to the world with the grain shipment agreement scheduled to be signed later in the day in Istanbul.
