President Erdoğan attends opening ceremony of Lefkoşa Emergency Hospital

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is on an official visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), attended the opening ceremony of Lefkoşa Emergency Hospital.

President Erdoğan made a speech at the ceremony. Drawing attention to the increasing number of cases, patients and deaths due to the COVID-19 pandemic, President Erdoğan said that while Turkey follows the vaccine studies in other countries, it also exert great efforts to develop a vaccine.

Underscoring that Turkey is displaying an exemplary stance in terms of both solidarity and the fight against the pandemic, President Erdoğan stated that Turkey has delivered medical supplies to nine international organizations and 156 countries, regardless of their religion, language, race and region.

Pointing out that Lefkoşa Emergency Hospital is the most important sign of Turkey’s solidarity with the TRNC, President Erdoğan noted that Turkey will continue to stay in solidarity with the TRNC in the field of health from now on as well.

First Lady Emine Erdoğan and Chairman Devlet Bahçeli of the Nationalist Movement Party accompanied President Erdoğan at the ceremony.
