President Erdoğan: By year’s end, we will achieve for the first time in our history an export volume of over $200 billion
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.
“WE SHOULD COMPLY WITH MEASURES UNTIL SOCIAL IMMUNITY IS ACHIEVED”
Praising Turkey as one of the leading countries which successfully managed the pandemic, President Erdoğan said: “Thanks to the correct and effective measures we have taken, we have positively differentiated ourselves from many other countries.”
Calling on citizens to get vaccinated in order to protect themselves and their loved ones from COVID-19, President Erdoğan said: “We should all continue to comply with measures, hygiene, mask and distance in particular, until social immunity is achieved.”
Noting that Turkey’s direct financial support during the pandemic exceeded TL150 billion, President Erdoğan said: “We have not left alone anyone, including our citizens, manufacturers and investors.”
“WE CLOSED 2020 WITH GROWTH AS THE EU COUNTRIES SHRANK”
Underlining Turkey’s consistent and determined stance in all areas, President Erdoğan said: “Thanks to our holistic approach, we closed 2020 with growth as the world, the EU countries shrank.”
Applauding Turkey’s 7 percent growth in the first quarter of 2021, President Erdoğan noted that indicators pointed to an approximately 20 percent growth in the second quarter.
“WE ARE MOVING AHEAD BY BREAKING A NEW RECORD EVERY MONTH IN EXPORT”
“We are moving ahead by breaking a new record every month in export. There was a 40 percent increase in export volume year on year in the first 6 months. At this rate, we will achieve for the first time in our history an export volume of over $200 billion by year’s end,” President Erdoğan said.
“WE GIVE NO QUARTER TO TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS”
“By using all means of the state, we give no quarter to terrorist organizations such as PKK, FETO and DAESH. In line with the principle of eliminating threats at the source, we are crushing organizations that pose a threat to our national security both inside our borders and in the regions they operate in. With our Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Interior and the National Intelligence Organization, we are determinedly conducting this fight. Thanks to our expanding intelligence capabilities, we are preventing terrorist attacks while also paralyzing the cadres, financial and logistical elements of the main structures that feed these organizations,” President Erdoğan underlined.
Noting that the National Intelligence Organization carried the fight against terror beyond Turkey’s borders, President Erdoğan said: “As a result of the operations, the leading cadres of the PKK can no longer move, gather or run the organization in northern Iraq for the first time in its history.”
Underscoring Turkey’s determination to eliminate the FETO, which was responsible for numerous treacherous acts, including the failed coup attempt on July 15, 2016, President Erdoğan said: “We have uncovered all the secret structures of the FETO in strategic institutions and its archives. We know that this is a long fight. We will continue to work to break apart and eliminate the FETO.”
Stating that over 100 FETO members were brought to Turkey from various countries as a result of the operations against the FETO abroad, President Erdoğan said: “As a result of its original and patient efforts, the National Intelligence Organiztion brought Orhan İnandı, the FETO’s man in charge of Central Asia, back to Turkey to face justice. When he was in Turkey, this person was in the secret organization of the FETO. Then he became one of the top leaders of the FETO. He ran the FETO’s dirty money in Central Asia. He used the people, whose minds he poisoned, for the shady agenda of the FETO.”
President Erdoğan also underlined that Turkey would continue its fight against all terrorist organizations, including the FETO.
