President Erdoğan, Chancellor Friedrich Merz of Germany talk over phone

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Chancellor Friedrich Merz of Germany.

The call addressed the Israel-Iran conflict, bilateral relations, and regional issues.

During the call, President Erdoğan stated that the path to resolving the nuclear disputes with Iran lies through the negotiation table and emphasized that the conflict arising from Israel’s attack on Iran has pushed the threat to regional security to its utmost level.

President Erdoğan further noted that the repercussions of this spiral of violence, triggered by Israel’s attacks, could negatively impact both the region and Europe, particularly concerning potential migration issues and nuclear leakage.

President Erdoğan also stated that Türkiye is exerting efforts to end the conflict and restore calm and will continue to do so.
