President Erdoğan Chancellor Stocker of Austria talk over phone

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Chancellor Christian Stocker of Austria.

The call addressed the Türkiye-Austria bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.

Emphasizing the need for Türkiye and Austria to capitalize on their trade and investment potential effectively, President Erdoğan noted that they will continue to take steps to strengthen their cooperation.

Underlining Türkiye’s efforts to bring an end to ongoing wars, President Erdoğan stated that the opportunity to end the war between Russia and Ukraine should not be wasted and said the humanitarian conditions in Gaza have deteriorated to a catastrophic extent, as well as pointing out the essential need for urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.

President Erdoğan added during the call that Türkiye is continuing its efforts to maintain stability in Syria and further highlighted the critical importance of enhancing social and economic welfare to facilitate the voluntary return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.
