President Erdoğan: Defense industry constitutes the most important aspect of our bilateral relations with Pakistan
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan held a joint press conference following the 6th meeting of the Turkey-Pakistan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Islamabad.
“WE STAND READY TO PROVIDE EVERY SUPPORT FOR PAKISTAN’S DEVELOPMENT”
President Erdoğan underlined that Turkey was ready to provide Pakistan with every kind of support that would directly contribute to Pakistan’s development in transport, energy, tourism, sanitary services, law enforcement, education and healthcare.
Thanking for the measures taken against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO)’s activities in Pakistan, President Erdoğan said: “I am of the belief that our ties in defense industry and military areas constitute the most important aspect of our bilateral relations with Pakistan.”
Stressing Turkey’s solidarity with the people of Kashmir who had experienced great sufferings and numerous oppressions, President Erdoğan stated: “We are gravely concerned that the situation in the region has turned into a predicament despite all the steps taken recently. Turkey favors the settlement of the Kashmir issue through dialogue between Pakistan and India on the basis of relevant UN resolutions and in accordance with the expectations of our brothers and sisters in Kashmir.”
