President Erdoğan: Everyone in Turkey can live as they wish

President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens at a campaign rally in the province of Edirne in the run-up to the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.
Making remarks on the upcoming local elections, President Erdoğan said that they will usher in a new horizon in Edirne with “modesty, sincerity and perseverance.”
“EVERYONE IN TURKEY CAN LIVE AS THEY WISH”
Stating that Turkey has entered the period during which all its citizens, regardless of their faith, sect and disposition, practice their rights and freedoms in the broadest sense with AK Party governments, President Erdoğan noted that minorities have practiced their rights in the broadest sense and Romani citizens have gained the reputation they deserve during these periods.
“Turkey, with all its colors, richness and differences, is the common homeland of all our 82 million citizens,” the President underlined, adding that everyone in Turkey can live as they wish and express their thoughts freely provided that they respect others’ rights.
INVESTMENTS MADE IN EDIRNE
Also touching upon the investments made in Edirne over the past 17 years, President Erdoğan, pointing to the 15-billion-lira investment made in the city, elaborated that among these investments are 889 new classrooms, university dormitories for 4,064 students, several sport halls, swimming pools, youth centers and 5,848 residential units. President Erdoğan also noted that they have provided an agricultural support of 2.6 billion liras to the farmers of Edirne.
