President Erdoğan: Foreign dependency in basic agricultural products is just as dangerous as foreign dependency in defense industry
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the 69th Traditional Harvest Festival held by Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in the Polatlı district of Ankara.
Erdoğan said: “Let me underline that ensuring food security is also a matter of national security for our country. To us, there is, in principle, no difference between purchasing wheat from abroad for our internal consumption and purchasing weapons from abroad. Foreign dependency in basic agricultural products is just as dangerous and risky as foreign dependency in defense industry.”
