President Erdoğan: In 2020 Turkey achieved the second highest growth rate within G20
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of MFA Kocayusuf Mask Factory in Zonguldak.
Underscoring that Turkey’s production capacity is growing stronger each passing day with domestic and international investments, and that Turkey, with its support, incentive and grant programmes meticulously prepared for every sector, stands by all investors contributing to the country, President Erdoğan said: “We support everyone, who has confidence in the Turkish economy, without ostracizing or alienating anyone and without discriminating between domestic and foreign. We heartily welcome every entrepreneur who produces, exports and especially who offers opportunities of employment and livelihood and contributes to our economy.”
“IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2021, WE REACHED A RECORD GROWTH RATE OF 7% AFTER CHINA”
President Erdoğan said: “Thanks to the efforts of our private sector and the supports provided by our state, Turkey, with 1.8%, achieved the second highest growth rate within G20 right after China in 2020. Also, we were one of the countries with the biggest rise in industrial production within G20 during the same period. And in the first quarter of 2021, we reached a record growth rate of 7% right after China. We are more than happy that the manufacturing industry has grown by 12.2% and made the biggest contribution in our country’s growth.”
