President Erdoğan: In Islamic societies, mosque is the center of life and heart of its environs

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of Northern Ankara Science and Culture Center of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey.

Erdoğan said: Mosques have been the centers of life and hearts of their environs in Islamic societies since the construction of al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina. Just like heart is the main organ that supports a man, houses of worship support societies as centers of knowledge, wisdom and virtue.
