President Erdoğan inaugurates Ara Güler Photography Exhibition in Kyoto

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan inaugurated the Ara Güler Photography Exhibition in the Japanese city of Kyoto.
Delivering a speech at the inauguration, President Erdoğan expressed his happiness over being in Japan, and thanked Japanese officials and people for their hospitality. Stating that 2019 has been declared Turkish Culture Year in Japan, President Erdoğan noted that many events will be held in the country throughout the year in order for the ancient friendship between Turkey and Japan to be further strengthened.
Pointing out that it is a source of pride for him to inaugurate the Ara Güler Photography Exhibition, President Erdoğan said: “The photographs that Ara Güler took during his 90-year-old life constitute the visual memory, so to speak, of Turkey, first and foremost of Istanbul.”
